If you have decided ‘Ann Smith’ will be wearing the Watchie® W1, text ASSIGN ANN SMITH to your Watchie® Service Centre. As with all text commands, capital letters are not necessary, just a space between ASSIGN and the name you choose.
From then your Watchie® W1 Device will be displayed as ANN SMITH on your SOS text alerts.
Next, in your phone contacts, save the unique Watchie® W1 telephone number you were sent after Activating your Device as something you can easily recognize the wearer by, for example ANN SMITH or ANN SMITH WATCHIE
This number will be used/displayed for incoming and outgoing calls to and from your Watchie® from then on.
Calling ANN SMITH from then on will patch you through directly to your Watchie® W1. The Device will ring on loud volume notifying ANN SMITH there is an incoming call and then automatically answer. The wearer does not need to press anything to answer the call. To hang up a call, ANN SMITH simply clicks the SOS button on the Device once, or you terminate the call yourself from your phone as with a normal call.
In case you’re not available to answer a SOS alert, it’s useful to have a second or third responder on stand by. As lead Responder of your Device, you will choose who this can be. Once you’ve invited them to become a Responder, your Watchie® Service Centre will contact them for you. When they’ve accepted to become your Responder, they will receive all the SOS alerts and calls from your Device, and be able to call your Device also. As lead Responder, you can remove them at any time.
Text ADD followed by the number of your contact to your Watchie® Service Centre. You’ll need their mobile number. For example, text ADD 086 1234567
Your Watchie® Service Centre will take it from here and notify them that you wish them to become a SOS Responder for ANN SMITH. They will be brought through the registration steps as you were, after which they will have the option to ACCEPT or DECLINE the Responder invite.
Once accepted they will receive all SOS alerts and calls.
You can add up to 3 additional Responders to a Device, simply repeat the process.
You can check your active Responder group at any time by texting RESPONDERS to your Watchie® Service Centre. Your Responders will be displayed in the order they were added, and will be notified in the event of a SOS in rotation in this same order.
After you ADD your contact, your Responder will receive a Responder invitation from your Watchie® Service Centre by text.
If they are new to Watchie® they will be asked to Register with Watchie® with simple text message requests.
Once registered, they will be given the option to ACCEPT or DECLINE the Responder invite.
You will be notified when they have accepted and they will be from then visible on your RESPONDERS list, whichh can be seen by texting RESPONDERS to your Watchie® Service Centre.
Text REMOVE followed by the number of your contact to your Watchie® Service Centre. You’ll need their mobile number. For example REMOVE 086 1234567.
